HIGH VOLUME DOVE HUNTS

YEAR-ROUND WINGSHOOTING

Doves in the Argentinian wilds are not migratory, and they reproduce up to six times each year, making for phenomenal hunting conditions year-round. The most common dove is the torcaza, or eared dove, and are very similar to the mourning dove found in the United States.

Clients can expect to shoot 1000-2500 rounds per day. Your options are truly limitless; dove season is year-round in Argentina, and these birds fly at all times of day. This is high volume shooting at its best.

We have various lodging options, each with millions of doves living in the surrounding areas. Our hunting grounds consist of tens of thousands of acres, including flat plains, grasslands, and even a 14,000-acre roostOur fields are located only minutes from our lodges, with most drives lasting less than ten minutes!

COMBO HUNTS

DUCKS, DOVES, PIGEONS AND PERDIZ

Combination hunts generally take place during the winter season (May through July for Argentina). We have several lodges offering combination hunts for ducks, doves, pigeons, and perdiz, all at the same lodge.

There are several species of flushing birds in Argentina, but the most common and active is the spotted tinamou, or perdiz (partridge). The perdiz is slightly larger than a bobwhite quail, and holds very well for pointing dogs.

You’ll have the opportunity to hunt a wide variety of duck species not found in North America. Hunters normally take 8-12 different species on a single trip, including: Southern Widgeon, Rosy-Billed Pochard, Brown and White Cheeked Pintails, Silver, Speckled and Cinnamon Teal, and a variety of Tree Ducks.

Combination hunts are an inclusive, all-day experience. Duck hunts take place in the morning, followed by your choice of high-volume doves, pigeons, or perdiz over well-disciplined dogs in the afternoon. Hunting usually takes place in the many wide grasslands and pastures around the lodge.

PIGEON HUNTS

Pigeons are a popular game bird, and for good reason; they make for challenging targets and an enjoyable hunt. Pigeons decoy extremely well, so pigeon hunting can feel like shooting ducks on dry land. There is no season or bag limit on pigeons in Argentina.

The most common species are Spot-Winged Pigeons, Picazuro, and Rock Pigeon.

If you’ve never shot pigeons you’ll enjoy it, and if you have, you know you want to do it again!

Minimum 2 days unless combined with other wingshooting package (doves, ducks, etc.)
