The golden dorado (salminus brasiliensis) is a large, salmon-like fish, named for its iconic golden scales. The dorado is a highly active swimmer and a relentless hunter with powerful jaws and razor-sharp teeth. Its hard strikes, acrobatic leaps and finger-burning runs make dorado fishing a truly thrilling and challenging experience. Although most anglers prefer to use fly fishing, spin and bait casters will find the dorado to be very “lure-friendly.”
In terms of size, the golden dorado averages at about 4 to 8 pounds, but 20-pounders are not uncommon. While you fish for dorado, you might also catch Surubi, Pacu, Boga, Pirana, Tararira and Catfish. These highly sportive species will put up a real fight, so come prepared for a challenge!
Our fishing operation takes place in various locations along the Paraná River, where you’ll also have the option to book combination hunting excursions. You’ll enjoy warm, subtropical weather amongst the incredible wildlife of Argentina. Alligators, capybaras, marsh deer, and hundreds of aquatic birds offer visitors quite a spectacular show.

Nestled in the pristine rivers of Patagonia and surrounded by the majestic Andes Mountains, we fish unspoiled lakes, free-running rivers, and clear streams for brown, rainbow and brook trout.
You’ll have the opportunity to fish in the nearby rivers and lakes, either from boats or shore (where wading is possible). Motor boats are provided; for those who prefer alternative options, belly boats and kick boats are also available.
As your hunting partner, our focus is on bringing you the best comfort and service Argentina has to offer. Our guest accommodations consist of luxurious cabanas with spacious rooms, equipped with two beds, a private bath and shower.
